Electrical services
Our electrical company provides services within wiring, installation, connection, commissioning and troubleshooting. They also perform inspection services, diagnostics and cleaning services for electrical equipment. We stock a wide range of spare parts and have our own electrical workshop for minor modification work. For complete electrical and automation system deliveries, we cooperate with renowned suppliers.
Mechanical & machining services
The mechanical crew is widely experienced with engines, gearboxes, propulsion equipment and deck machinery from different equipment manufacturers. The mechanical workshop is equipped with all necessary tools and machinery to perform complete engine overhauls, pressure testing, machining and certification.
Furnishing
Baatbygg has its own carpentry department and workshop located inside the Yard, the workshop is equipped with the necessary tools and machinery for all kinds of wood and furnishing work. Our carpenters perform minor reconstruction work and maintenance, for major modifications we use our partners and suppliers.
Steel & structural services
Baatbygg maintains a highly qualified staff of sheet metal workers and welders, we provide complete services within welding, cutting and structural work. CNC controlled cutting machines and state of the art welding machines ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Technical services
Our technical department supports the operational departments and provides engineering drawings, weight and structural calculations. We have approved engineers for certification of cranes, davits and winches. In addition the department maintains dialogue with the applicable classification societies, performs inclination tests and updates all ‘as built’ drawings.
Surface treatment
Our paint & coating department, located in the yard, performs all types of surface treatment in collaboration with all the reputable paint supplier. We keep our own equipment for HP washing, hydroblasting and painting.
Piping
Our technicians perform minor piping services within hydraulics, welded steel pipes and saltwater resistant sea water pipes. For major modifications we have partners who perform piping works in collaboration with our production managers.
